I heard an interesting piece on Radio 2 the other morning about jet lag. An expert was explaining how to combat jetlag by adjusting your body clock before flying.
He suggested waking up an hour earlier a few days before your fly east, or an hour later if you’re flying west.
Sounds like a great idea but I’m not sure how easy that would be with young children!
He also recommended eating potassium rich foods like bananas, avocados and seeds and nuts as they induce sleep – much easier!
Back to School Blues
It got me thinking about the impending back to school blues and how hard it can be for kids to wake up early again. I might try waking them a little earlier each day in the run up to the first day of school. Dare I?
